Winter 2010
Chaplain Vicalvi opens the winter issue of The Centurion with a few reflections on C.S. Lewis’s classic work “The Screwtape Letters” encouraging chaplains and all believers to strive for excellence speaking into the world around us. It also includes a chaplain's incredible story of God’s intervention and answer to prayer. The summer issue of The Centurion centers on reports from the Annual Chaplain Training Retreat and chaplains supporting the war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It also includes an invitation to the Evangelical Leaders Forum. Chaplain Vicalvi discusses God's understanding of all languages and issues reminding readers that Jesus is all sufficient and aware of all things. God not only speaks our language, He speaks "God". Spring 2009
The spring issue of The Centurion centers on a preview of the Chaplain Training Retreat, Annual Dues, and the book "Days of Anguish, Days of Hope". Chaplain Vicalvi encourages readers with the words of Isaiah 6:8: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Lord, here am I, send me!” Most of us have heard and read this very familiar proclamation of Isaiah’s commitment to God’s task for him as His prophet.
